About Me

Hi! I’m a cartographic designer, who has over 25 years experience in mapping. I graduated with a BSc in Cartography from Oxford Brookes University and have been a Chartered Geographer through the Royal Geographic Society since 2014.

I am an award winning cartographer having been honoured in BCS Avenza Award in 2009, 2013 and 2024, BCS Stanfords Award in 2012 and 2016, Wallis Award 2014, BCS Collins Bartholomew Award in 2023 and most recently being featured in the Atlas of Design Volume 7, 2024.

Over my career I have led many seminars on cartographic best practice and since 2022 I have been a lecturer at UEL within their School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering.

I am a volunteer with The British Cartographic Society and have been a council member since 2021. My main roles are with social outreach for the society and my aim is to ensure that education in cartographic design principles are developed further and shared with everyone!

I live in St Albans, in my family of five, and work in and around the South East of England, but have had work commissioned as far away as North America and Chile.

Please contact me to ask about how I can create the best map for you or your users.
