Colchester City Council required a new cycling map to promote cycling and reduce air pollution in the city. Cartographer Clare Seldon at Event Maps responded with a bespoke solution, teaming up with Rachael Partis Graphic Design, and Dennis Maps to print the final outcome.
The cycling map caters to leisure and utility cyclists of all ages and abilities and highlights existing off-road routes and low-speed on-road routes to encourage more cycling. The map will also serve tourism needs and assist in creating school-specific active travel maps.

A reprint was required in September 2025 (just a month after the first batch) due to popularity!
Further active travel guides were created from the cycle map, for places of education to aid in promoting sustainable travel choices for students, families and employees.
