In 2022 Clare Penny, Course Leader at University of East London, required some specialist training for her Landscape Architecture students. I worked with Clare Penny back in 2012 at Steer where we collaborated on many Urban Realm and placemaking projects, so she reached out to add me to her list of special lectures.
Since being involved with The British Cartographic Society after leaving univeristy I have helped develop many workshops and seminar initiatives, and helped develop the Better Mapping seminars that we toured around the UK in 2016-2017. Following this I led the cartographic training at Steer Group and developed their online course covering mapping and design principles.
In 2022 I delivered the first of my training lectures at UEL covering the basic mapping topics, and have since delivered more hands-on workshops using Illustrator, MAPublisher and QGIS.
